Excelsior Symphony Orchestra
is St. Thomas Orchestra’s new brand

Name change reflects expanded
diversity and educational missions

Westchester’s St. Thomas Orchestra is rebranding its identity as Excelsior Symphony Orchestra, reflecting a commitment to new and traditional symphonic music, a new Diversity on the Podium program and expanded educational outreach.

Under the leadership of Music Director William Eckfeld, ESO will present its previously-announced spring program on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 3 p.m. at the Sommer Center in Bronxville, N.Y., with guest conductor Teresa Cheung.

Cheung will conduct David’s Concertino for Trombone and Orchestra with soloist Doug Denniston, Eckfeld’s Xyklus 3 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.
